The hotel reception ladies were excellent in terms of guiding us about the city. The room was moderately good, the only let down was bathroom it could have been more funkier keeping in line with the rooms and the decor of the hotel.A value for money. The hotel is located 15 mins away from city, literally near the tram track making it most convenient accommodation I ever had.Very good continental breakfast buffet, tasty bread rolls and wide choice of juices and cheese.
It's located beside forests so easy access for country walks etc. but also only 15 minutes by tram from centre of Oslo - right to the door. Basic but clean & comfortable accomodation.
Very pleasent environment, and the front desk staff is VERY helpful. Is located in a relatively quiet area of Oslo. Is actually the Nationa Hospital's (Rikshospitalet) Hotel. Breakfast is good, and rooms are excellent. Tram stop just outside the door, which makes it easy to each Oslo Centre.
Navigation Systems should be updated, so they give the proper direction. Is actually located across from the main entraice of the hospital, but no sign posting at the roundabout distributing the traffic across the hospital campus. On the other hand; bettet that not too may people know of this hotel ;-)
Excellent hotel for realy small money to Oslo. Good breakfast, a lot of green around. Long days, evryone are happy. I will be back to Gaustad Hotell and I really recommend one to all new guests.
Price is suitable. Hotel is very clean and silence. Room is nice, breakfast is the same.
Unfortunately, wireless internet facility is not possible in the rooms. Guests rewiews are very useful to learn more about this hotel. Especially, I learned that I should take tram 17 or 18 from sity centre Oslo and get off at the last stop from the guests reviews. Thanks the people send reviews. People also should learn more about last tram time. And it will be better the website of hotel told people those explanations.
Warm floor in bathrooms. Good breakfast.
The only parking place nearby costs 160 NOK (not 130 as indicated) and it's within several minutes walking from the hotel door. It's also not very easy to find in the night, since there are absolutely no English pointers. I literally had to use Google Translate on my ipad to translate some of the pointers and understand which part of the parking place we have to go to.
Very clean hotel, very clean rooms, very friendly staff. Tram stops in front of the hotel, so good access to the city as well. There's a (paid) parking garage in front of the hotel as well.
Wifi is only available in the lobby, not in rooms. For having cabled internet enabled in your room you have to pay extra, which I think is silly. It wouldn't hurt for them to install wifi throughout the entire hotel.
I didnt like the late Breakfast time at the weekend and the verry expensive parking costs.
Excellent value for money , considering the otherwise exceptionally-expensive city. Staff at reception very patient and helpful. Proximity to public transport - tram, Airport Bus.
A little far away from downtown (was actually a plus in my opinion). Hospital surroundings - might be eerie for some guests. Tram might be heard from some rooms if windows are open.
Very close to University area, train, busses, high ways. Very easy to take busses etc to Oslo city.
Parkering facility por
Reasonable price in such expensive city. Breakfast which was included in the rate was quite good with some warm dishes. The room was quite large and clean. Tram stop is just next to the entrance
The indication sign to the hotel was not clear because it locates in the middle of the hospital complex. Although I read about the chance to see patients in the hotel, I was still shock at seeing patients with their involved medical stuffs. There (when I arrived in the evening). The reception hall was a bit confusing. It is next to the catin. It is more like a payment bar for the catin than a reception of the hotel.
The room was really clean. It was located pretty quiet place, so we could sleep well. However we had to wait for check in the hotel, and we didn't correct room what we booked. There weren't double bed, only single bed. So we changed the room. but next room didn't have a double bed again,so I had to sleep on sofa...
Good price, and very easy access to downtown via the tram!
Everything was very clean, especially the bathroom. The room was small, but very nice. It was aesthetically pleasing. The free breakfast was delicious.
There was nothing on the site about it being a hospital hotel, and that was weird to walk into without knowing in advance. There's a feeling like you're checking into a hospital room, but you're not. The internet wasn't wireless, either. I happened to have my own cable, but if you didn't you could only use the internet in the common areas free of charge. It could be very inconvenient. The room was also so small that we had a little difficulty with two large pieces of luggage. It also sucked that the T-bane that runs to Gaustad wasn't running when we stayed there. But overall it was a very pleasant stay, actually.
Clean and can relax and near the tram / metro stration. Additionally breakfast is good (buffet style and many kinds: ham, cheese and scranble egg and so on.) For Oslo it costs cheap.
The location does not match the map which is discribed in Booking. com and not outstanding the signbord.
